Junior Perl Developer

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of hands-on experience with Perl programming, MySQL databases, and a basic understanding of Linux command-line operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perl Development: Write and maintain clean, efficient, and well-documented Perl scripts and applications.
• MySQL Database Management: Design, develop, and optimize MySQL queries, database schemas, and stored procedures.
• Database Optimization: Analyze and optimize performance of SQL queries, database indexes, and server configurations.
• Backend Integration: Integrate Perl scripts with various backend systems and APIs, ensuring smooth data exchange and automation.
• Troubleshooting: Debug and resolve issues in the code, including performance problems, security vulnerabilities, and bugs.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation of systems, databases, and code to ensure efficient troubleshooting and future enhancements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience in Perl programming with concepts like data structures, DBI, file and database handling.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience working with SQL queries, stored procedures, and database schema design.
• Solid understanding of Linux command-line environment.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
